Build & convert

An ecommerce web design company in Dubai, for stores that sell.

WebBox is an ecommerce web design company in Dubai that designs and builds online stores on Shopify and WooCommerce, with the payment options, delivery set-up and Arabic and English versions UAE shoppers expect, for brands selling in the Gulf and worldwide. Every store is fast on a phone, ready to rank and measured on orders, not on how it looks in a portfolio.

Straight answers

The questions worth asking.

The three things people ask us before they buy, answered without the sales gloss.

01

Shopify or WooCommerce?

Shopify is hosted: it runs the servers, security and checkout for a monthly fee, and suits brands that want to sell without running infrastructure. WooCommerce runs inside WordPress, so it suits stores where content matters, product logic is custom or you want full control. Our post on Shopify vs WooCommerce for SEO covers the search side.

02

Which payment gateways can you set up?

The one your business can get approved for. In the UAE that is usually a regional gateway such as Network International, Telr, PayTabs or Checkout.com, or Stripe where your company is eligible, plus buy now, pay later and cash on delivery if your customers expect them. We confirm the gateway works with your platform before the build starts.

03

Can the store run in Arabic and English?

Yes. Each language gets its own URLs, the Arabic version is laid out right to left and checked on real devices, and hreflang tells search engines which version to show. Products, emails and checkout are translated, not just the menus.

Why it matters

A store that looks fine and sells nothing.

The problem

Visits arrive, carts are abandoned

Product pages load slowly on a phone, the checkout asks for too much, the payment option the shopper trusts is missing and delivery costs appear at the last step. Most of those shoppers never come back.

The outcome

A store that turns visits into orders

Fast product pages, a short checkout with the payment and delivery options your customers expect, and every order, stock change and abandoned cart handled without anyone copying data between systems.

Shopify

Shopify stores, designed to sell.

Shopify suits brands that want to focus on selling: hosting, security and checkout are looked after, and your team runs products, collections and discounts from one admin. We design the store around how your customers buy rather than leaving it on theme defaults.

  • A custom or customised theme, built around your catalogue and brand.
  • Collections and filters planned around what shoppers search for.
  • Shopify Markets set up for each country you sell to, with prices and languages per market.
  • Only the apps the store needs, so pages stay fast.

WooCommerce

WooCommerce, when the store lives in WordPress.

WooCommerce turns a WordPress site into a store, so content and commerce live in one place and you control the hosting, the data and every template. It suits brands that publish a lot, need custom product logic or want to own the whole stack.

  • A lean custom theme, not a heavy multipurpose one.
  • Custom product types, bundles and pricing rules where you need them.
  • Hosting, caching, backups and updates planned before launch.
  • Security hardening, so an outdated plugin is never an open door.

Payments and delivery

A checkout set up for how the Gulf pays.

In the UAE the checkout often decides the sale. Shoppers look for a payment method they trust, a delivery date they can plan around and a total with no surprises at the last step. We set up and test each piece before launch.

Card payments through a gateway your business can get approved for.
Buy now, pay later options such as Tabby or Tamara, if your customers use them.
Cash on delivery where it still drives orders, with rules that cut failed deliveries.
Delivery zones, rates and courier integrations for the Emirates and beyond.
VAT calculated and shown correctly on every order.
Arabic and English

Two languages, one store.

Many UAE shoppers browse in Arabic, and many of your overseas buyers never will. We build both properly: separate URLs per language, a right-to-left layout for Arabic that is designed rather than mirrored by accident, and hreflang so each audience lands on its own version.

  • Arabic layouts checked for alignment, icons and number formats.
  • Products, emails and checkout translated, not just the menus.
  • Language and currency per market, so a shopper in Riyadh and one in London each see their own.
Built for search

Ready to rank from launch.

Category and product pages carry most of a store's search demand, so we build them from keyword research, add Product structured data so price and availability can show in results, and keep filter URLs out of the index. Moving an existing store? Every old URL is mapped to its new one, following a full website migration checklist.

  • Collections planned around what shoppers search for.
  • Product structured data and clean canonical URLs.
  • Core Web Vitals checked on real product pages before launch.

After the order

The systems behind the store.

A store is only as good as what happens after the order. These are built by the same team that runs our automation work, connected to the tools you already use.

Orders into your systems

Every order lands in your accounting, stock and CRM tools without copy and paste.

Abandoned-cart follow-up

Shoppers who leave at checkout get a reminder by email, or on WhatsApp where they have opted in.

Stock that stays right

Stock levels stay in step between the store, your warehouse and any marketplace you sell on.

Reviews and repeat orders

Post-purchase emails ask for a review and bring customers back at the right moment.

How it works

How a store build runs.

01

Plan

We map how your customers buy, choose the platform, and fix the catalogue structure, payments, delivery and languages before any design starts.

02

Design

You see real product, collection and checkout pages with your products in them, and sign off page by page.

03

Build and connect

We build the store, load the catalogue, connect the gateway, couriers and your systems, and test real orders end to end.

04

Launch and refine

We launch, watch where shoppers drop out, and tune the pages that cost you sales.
