Guest post prices in 2026: 1,782 publishers by DR, niche and region
The median list price across 1,782 publishers is $790, and the middle half sit between $360 and $1,075. Price follows domain rating only loosely: the DR 70 to 79 median is only 1.1x the DR 60 to 69 median, the real jump comes at DR 80, and two sites with the same DR can differ several times over.

DR sets the floor. It does not set the price.
Half of all sites list between $360 and $1,075, and 71% list at $1,000 or less. Above that, price depends on more than domain rating: region, niche and each publisher's own rate card move it a long way.
A moderate link. DR alone is a poor guide to price.
Against only 1.1x from DR 60s ($860) to DR 70s ($930).

Prices climb steadily up to DR 60, then flatten: the median is $860 at DR 60 to 69 and $930 at DR 70 to 79, only 1.1x apart. Past DR 80 the median doubles to $1,900, and DR 90+ sites list at a median $3,225, 11x the median under DR 30.

Per DR point, the cheapest band is DR 40 to 49 at a median $10.80. The smallest sites cost more per point ($25.70 under DR 30), and DR 90+ costs $35.40 a point, 2.7x the overall median of $13.30.
Two sites with the same DR can differ several times over.
Inside every band below DR 90, the dearest tenth of sites list at 4.6x to 9.6x the price of the cheapest tenth. At DR 90 and above the gap is 65x.
- 68 of the 683 sites at DR 70+ list at $300 or less.
- 44 sites under DR 50 list at $1,000 or more.
- 15% of all sites cost more than double the median for their DR band, and 22% cost less than half.

Dofollow gets rarer as DR rises.
83% of sites under DR 30 give a dofollow link. At DR 80 to 89 it is 36%, and at DR 90+ it is 28%. Most of the largest publishers mark paid links nofollow or sponsored, so at the top end a buyer is mostly paying for the audience and the name, not a followed link.

UAE and Gulf publishers cost more than twice as much at the same DR.
Regions differ in their mix of DR, so the fair comparison is the same-DR ratio: each site's price against the median for its DR band. 1.0x means priced like any other site at that DR. UAE and Gulf sites list at 2.50x, against 1.00x for the US and 0.90x for the UK.

- Canadian sites list at almost one price, so their ratio reflects a single rate card more than a market.
- Europe outside the UK (25 sites) and Asia (17) are small groups, not far above the 15-site floor. Read them as indicative.
- "Global" covers sites that do not target one country. They list well below the same-DR median.
No crypto premium. Finance and business list below the norm.
Measured at the same DR, fashion and sports sites list well above the norm, while business and finance sites list at about half. Crypto, often assumed to carry a premium, lists at 0.77x the same-DR median in this data. Sites tagged with six or more niches are left out, because a site that covers everything says nothing about niche.

What to do with these numbers.
- Compare like with like. Check a quote against its DR band and region, not against the market as a whole.
- Treat the cheapest tenth with care. A DR 70 site at $100 can be fine, but look at its traffic, what else it publishes and whether its articles get indexed.
- Ask what a premium buys. Above the usual range, the extra should come with real readers, a relevant audience or a news-indexed title.
- Spread the budget. A few sites in the DR 50 to 79 range often cost less than one DR 90+ placement. Our guide on how many guest posts you need covers the balance.

How we measured it.
- Data. List prices for every publisher in the WebBox placement catalogue that was for sale on 12 October 2026: 1,790 sites, of which 1,782 had both a price and a measured DR. Prices are in US dollars, for one article with a link.
- What the sites take. 97% of the sites (1,728) take press-release style sponsored articles; 62 also take guest posts. The study covers both and calls them guest posts and sponsored posts.
- Metrics. DR is Ahrefs Domain Rating and DA is Moz Domain Authority, as recorded in the catalogue. A DR of 0 was read as not measured and left out.
- Statistics. Medians and percentiles, not averages, because a few very expensive sites would skew an average. The correlation is Spearman's rank correlation (0.50 for DR, 0.42 for DA). The same-DR ratio is the median, across a group, of each site's price divided by the median of its DR band.
- Privacy. No published group has fewer than 15 sites. The study publishes no site names, no per-site prices and nothing about buyers or orders.
- Not covered. Turnaround and traffic are not reported: the catalogue does not hold them reliably enough. List prices are what a buyer is quoted, not what every buyer pays, and this is one catalogue, not the whole market.

Across the 1,782 publishers in this study the median list price is $790. Half of all sites list between $360 and $1,075, one in ten lists under $180 and one in ten over $2,150. DR moves the price most above DR 80: the median is $1,900 at DR 80 to 89 and $3,225 at DR 90 and above.
